Do I need a military ID or pass to see the museum?
No, the museum hangars and grounds are located next to Ellsworth Air Force Base.
The bus tour does take place on Ellsworth Air Force Base, and due to security requirements set by the Air Force, bus tour guests must show a driver’s license, Military ID, state issued ID or passport. If the guest is under the age of 18 they must be accompanied by an adult. All guests from outside the United States must have a passport to take the tour.
What is the cost to enter the museum?
Museum Admission is FREE.
Bus tours are $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for children 12 and under. Groups of 10 or more are $6.00 each.
Where is the museum located?
The museum is located approximately 7 miles east of Rapid City on Interstate I-90, just outside the main gate to Ellsworth Air Force Base.
I-90 eastbound traffic use Exit 67B and follow the signs to the museum.
I-90 westbound traffic use Exit 67 and follow the signs to the museum.
