– By SDASM staff
Wings & Wheels is ON for 2020 this SEPT. 12!
(But it's a little different... read on)
Because of COVID-19 concerns, we've had to modify our traditional Wings & Wheels fundraiser car show at the museum. We still wanted to offer something fun, and we're excited to offer not only a unique photoshoot with our aircraft, but a parade, online virtual car show, and a traditional car show with the city of Box Elder! These forms tell you all you need to know, and special thanks to Black Hills Energy for helping us make this unique car event happen. See you on September 12!
Photoshoot at museum from 8am-11am.
Parade staging starting at 11am.
Parade at Noon.
Car Show after parade at 1pm at City Hall, should wrap by 4pm.

Old B-2 Exhibit
Those who visited the museum a long time ago may remember that we didn't always have the iconic B-1B aircraft out front as we do now.
We actually used to have a large 3/4 scale B-2 Spirit model on display that has a interesting back story behind it...
The Museum will be Closed on Thanksgiving
Due to the Xeri-scaping project the outdoor exhibits will also be closed.
We will be re-opening on the 27th, and until then we wish everyone a

2015 BBQ Finishes
The 2015 Santa Maria BBQ ended with smiles this year. A big thanks goes to the Deadwood Express Bluegrass Band for playing that evening and bringing spectacular music to the event. Another big "thank you" goes to all of our volunteers who made the event possible and helped get the traditional beef cooked and prepared. The auction was filled with South Dakota items from around our area, and the bidding was fun and enjoyable. We extend our sincerest gratitude to all of our guests who attended and helped support historic aviation and the museum for generations to come. We hope to see you again next year for another evening of fun, auctions, music, and beef! Thank you!
2015 Santa Maria BBQ
The 2015 Santa Maria BBQ annual event and auction is being held this September at the local VFW! All of our South Dakota raised beef is cooked over an open oak fire and then seasoned for a taste that's hard to beat. All of our tickets come with an additional raffle stub for a drawing to be held later in the event. Please call the museum at 605-385-5189 to reserve your ticket(s) for this special event.
The legendary BBQ is a tradition that has been held by the Missile Wing for years.
